New York City's P.S. 22 Chorus by Brittany Mayne

Chances are you've heard of New York City's P.S. 22 Chorus somewhere.
Lead by teacher Gregg Brienberg, these fifth-graders have been
featured on national talk and news shows, and have become YouTube
sensations.  According to Breinberg's P.S. 22 Chorus blog
(http://ps22chorus.blogspot.com/), their videos have recently reached
5 million views.  They have even been invited to Madison Square Garden
by Stevie Knicks. The videos feature the kids singing adorable
versions of songs by artists such as Coldplay, The Beatles, Journey,
Fleetwood Mac, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Alicia Keys and many more.
Two days ago a video of the kids singing Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" was
posted on YouTube (and was featured on Perez Hilton) and it has
already gotten almost 300,000 views. And during the performances you
can see that the kids are clearly passionate about what they are
doing, and giving everything they've got.  Which is great.  My fifth
grade chorus was filled with sarcasm and boredom.  So, if you haven't
checked out the P.S. 22 Chorus yet, start with the videos below. If
there was ever a testament to the effect and necessity of art and
music programs in schools, this is it.
